January 1, 1863. A well detailed early Missouri issue, countersigned by C.F. Jackson, who was the secessionist Governor of Missouri until he died of stomach cancer in 1862. This note has a small missing section at the upper left, some slight roughness at spots along the margin, and a small tape repair at the bottom right on the back. Criswell CR. 2A.
