Bath was the home to six national banks and the Lincoln bank was the third one chartered, but in January 1865. It may have been done as support for the president but not in his memory. Locals may know better, if so, write me a story. This bank closed in 1910 so all 25 notes reported are large size. This note, with stamped signatures of Ledyard and Low, is one of four Red Seals reported. Within the estimate this is a bargain for a Maine Red Seal.
