The $20 First Charter type is difficult to locate and is on many a want list. This piece is especially nice since the "Baptism of Pocahontas" vignette is undisturbed by harsh folds. The pen signatures are way above average. This rare bank closed in 1903 after issuing First Charters and a handful of Brownbacks. Just nine First Charters remain today. Except for a $20 selling earlier this year, there had been no offerings since 2000.
