The $50 Red Seal is an exceedingly elusive type in a grade like this. Rarely are examples pulled from collections and sold, even if the note is a duplicate. They are just too hard to get. Just eleven notes in any grade are extant on this 'a' type and a mere three notes are better. No CUs are known. A hair better than the Flynn specimen that brought $13,800.
