This note has appeared a few times over the years, and I am always reminded of its special nature whenever I see it. Most of the 1953 $5 Red Seal low numbers are notes that were cut from the first 100 sheets, and are from the A-A block. This is the only low number from the B-A block that I can recall seeing, and it is a single digit number as well! The first pack of the B-A block no doubt made it into circulation when no one was watching, but fortunately, this sole survivor was saved. A faint center fold should have little impact on the true value of this small size treasure.
