A great Mississippi note that has been the topic of conversation at many a pre-auction analysis session. There is only this note and a serial #13 in the census, both listed in the same condition. The bank issued Brownbacks only for a period of six years before bowing out in 1907. This was the only National Bank in town, or in Clairbourne County. Notes from here were unheard of until these $5 Brownbacks showed in 2005. Worth as much, or more, today as it was when it was first discovered.
