I am really fond of the brown seal Gold Certificates and have been since 1970 when Donlon had several really neat ones I tried to buy. Oakes beat me out again! This note has the small brown seal and was printed after the government decided triple signatures were too much work. To date, there are only 24 serial numbers reported, and over the years we have handled the best of them. This note is net graded because of a restored tear, but I can't really see it. I assume it's there, but in other words, the note looks more XF 45 regardless, I think it's pretty. We sold a PMG 64 for $143,750 last year, which is the finest in private hands, and this note should bring a strong price as the second finest graded. Graded XF 40, great color, repaired, Net by PMG.
