This note was in the Krause Collection where it was described as, 'The largest of the three banks in Janesville, this institution issued a plethora of notes throughout its tenure. In spite of that, only 31 large size notes have survived. This is the sole $5 First Charter and it's a decent example. Signatures of B.B. Eldridge, President and C.S. Jackman, Cashier.
