This is the first offering on this bank since 2008 when the note was described as, "This is one of the great Wisconsin locations. The bank was chartered in 1864 and issued First Charters, along with a few $5 Brown Backs, before it was liquidated in 1890. Five notes are known, but more important, only two $1 notes have been offered in the last several decades. This $5 is actually nice and would have graded Fine but for a couple of worn folds. W.E. Smith signed as president but I can't tell who the cashier was.'
