Rio is located in Columbia County, not far from Fox Lake and Baraboo. It has remained an anomaly for decades as none have ever appeared for sale, although today there are five in the census, of the 2,053 sheets that were printed. This is the first ever public offering. The note was signed by W.E. Moore, President and Andrew Amundson, Cashier. Here is a real kicker - when this note was discovered the bank's original charter was found, along with incorporation papers and even the mailing tube for that paper work. You can be the new owner and have the opportunity to share this wonderful history. Not even the Chester Krause Collection has one of these.
