January 1, 1862.A beautiful note from this state government in exile. The margins are decent for this issue (close at upper right) and the paper has strong body. No other detractions are noted. Checks from the Bank of Louisiana were used as the paper stock for this note and remnants can be seen on the back. Counter stamped with the signature of C. F. Jackson, governor in exile. Criswell Cr. 13.
