Four national banks in Mount Sterling would seem to be enough, although one failed early having issued only First Charter notes. This is the most available bank in town with 20 large notes reported, but if you want a Red Seal it's your only real choice. The bank printed 4,070 sheets of Red Seals resulting in four examples in the census with this note being one of the nicest. Unmolested with great pen signatures of John G.
