May 2, 1862. A sharp example of this higher denomination note, which are usually seen as remainders. This note, however, was issued to G.W. Lewis of the Missouri State Guard. There are decent margins (except where close at the upper left) and strong paper. There is a small mounting remnant at the top center of the back and a penciled "h" at the left on the back.
