A great note from the town's earliest national bank. There were six national banks chartered, of which three issued Red Seals. This bank issued enough with 31,808 sheets of $5-5-5-5 and 22,676 sheets of $10-10-10-20. As far as we know, only five have survived, with this one being the only #1 and by far the best. The note has only light circulation and very minor stains on the margin. The black signatures of W.P. Winsor, President and Wm. A.
