Atlanta is tied with Dallas for the honor of being the rarest district for $100 Red Seals. A paltry 10 pieces are known for both types, with eight known on the type 'a'. Only five of those notes have surfaced since the early 1990s. Since 2003 only the Tom Flynn specimen has been presented to auction buyers. Clearly a note as rare as the opportunity to buy it. This example is a solid no-problem note with bright paper and inks. Some might even say the grade is on the conservative side.
