Lot #3149 - Flint, NB, M7664

National Bank Notes > Michigan

Flint, NB, M7664
Fr. 613 $10 1902RS
Grade: F/VF
There were five national banks in Flint and not one lasted more than 20 years. This National Bank of Flint was chartered in 1905, issued 4,100 sheets of Red Seals and just over 7,000 sheet of Date backs, then liquidated after only 11 years in business. Consequently, it is the second rarest bank in Flint. With this new addition to the census, there are now three Red Seals and one Date back known. Our data shows just one offering of a $10 Red Seal by us in March 2007 as part of the Lee DeGood collection. This example is a full grade better. It is fault free and has nice pen signatures of John J. Carten, President and Bruce J. MacDonald, Cashier. --- Jess Lipka Red Seal Collection --- Jess Lipka Red Seal Collection
