This was the earliest of the three banks with similar names. This bank was chartered in 1885 and placed into receivership in 1926. There are nine notes recorded from this bank and three different notes have been offered five times in 60 years, but all since 2000. The Melamed note is a pleasing Blue Seal with excellent pen signatures of S.V. Weiser, President and L.F. Bullis, Cashier.
