Trinidad, First NB, W2300
Fr. 568 $100 1882DB
Except for a few sheets of $5s from the 1875 series, this large bank issued only $50s and $100s, leaving the lower denominations to the other national bank in town. This is one of the rarest types known for Colorado. It was issued by only three banks with a total printing of 2,508 notes. Only two specimens are known, both from this bank. This note is the sole example to ever sell publicly. It is a solid piece, with great pen signatures and some inconsequential edge splits. Signed by Frank G. Bloom, Vice President and Eli Jeffreys, Assistant Cashier.
