$100 1928
Grade:
PCGS Ch. Abt. New 55 PPQ
Of the entire 1928 Gold series, the $100 Gold is the most difficult denomination to find in top grade. I've even seen more nice $500s and $1,000s over the years than I've seen of the $100 denomination in Gem. Apparently there were few large groups or runs saved, and individual notes that were kept pristine are very elusive. That places a lot of demand on the top end AU examples, like this note, to complete the basic $10 through $100 Gold sets. This richly colored specimen could easily play the part of an UNC in your set. Graded Ch. Abt. New 55 by PCGS.
