Only two banks in Virginia issued $100 Red Seals and only 4,100 sheets were printed, so it's quite abnormal that three have survived. That was a lot of money to have just lying around and quality doesn't indicate it was from a bank hoard. This note is evenly circulated and has decent color. Excellent black signatures of Bartlett Rofer, President and Jno. W. Lang (Long), Cashier. There is wear and tear showing along the folds. From K.
