There were 10 national banks chartered in this southern city but only two issued Red Seals. This bank was chartered in 1884 and during the Red Seal period printed 3,850 sheet of $10-10-10-20s. Of those, 13 have survived and none are really any nicer than this pen signed beauty. A similar note brought over $3,000 in 2001 and nothing as nice as this has sold since. Signed by W.P.G.
