Here is a phenomenal New York rarity that is sure to create some excitement. The bank issued 406 sheets of Red Seals, 2,871 sheets of Blue Seals and hardly enough small size to count. Track & Price, with access to data that covers decades of price lists and auction appearances, has never seen a note offered on this bank. The census shows a #1 Red Seal does exist, but there's no telling where it is. Small size notes are unknown. This would be a noteworthy lot if the note were VG, but for a clean and full-margined example with fantastic pen signatures, we're talking about an item that might appear once in a decade. The kind of note that makes collections great. A plethora of pinholes will certainly be overlooked by discerning bidders.
