Lowell, NB, 1280
Fr. 397 $5 Original
Grade:
Fine
This one bank town was chartered in 1865 and went into receivership in 1888 after issuing a few First Charters and Brown Backs. The only other survivor is a $5 Brown Back in really poor condition and is a candidate for restoration, barely. This is a pleasing, evenly circulated note with a weak president's signature but a clear signature of H.W. Clark, Cashier. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
