This bank was chartered in 1865 and issued notes throughout the National Bank Note issuing period. Only two of the 19 large notes reported are earlier than this this lovely Red Seal, which is the only Red Seal reported. It's a beauty with exceptional color and centering, along with clearly stamped signatures of Thos. Gordon, Jr. and Frank Warren. This note is from a 1992 K. Krueger sale. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
