This is a one-bank town in Oakland County and it had a national bank only from 1878 to 1886. The bank issued just 2,272 sheets of $10 and $20 First Charters. Somehow two notes have survived, but I have never seen one for sale. This is one of two notes reported, both are 1875 Series, this $10 and a low grade $20 that realized $9,000 hammer in March 2007. This beauty could have more margin but it's very lovely. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
