This bank was chartered in 1872 and lasted nearly 19 years, until 1891. The bank was a short issuer and not surprisingly this note is unique. A magnificent note I handled, presumably from Amon Carter. The signatures are excellent and the overall condition is what we always hope to find! Signed by John Houston, Vice President and J.R. Bentley, Cashier. Ex: Grinnell, Lot 1948 and previously from the DeGood collection. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
