This bank was chartered in 1886 and flourished until 1908 when it closed. The bank issued $5, $10 and $20 Brown Backs and $10 and $20 Red Seals, but only 4,161 sheets altogether. This is a #1 note with a great layout. Excellent pen signatures of Wm. Dunham, President and W.H. Fowler, Cashier and it's likely this was the president's own note. The note has been trimmed a bit close but it's rare and beautiful. When in the 2009 Van Belkum sale this note realized $6,325. There are only three notes reported on the bank.
