This bank was chartered in 1929 and it closed in 1933 after issuing only 625 sheets of large size notes. This note is one of the two surviving examples, both are very similar in quality. Excellent pen signatures of the cashier and F.M. Brand, President. The note has the distinction of having the highest engraved plate date of any large size National. A 'must' for the serious historian of National Bank Notes as it was the last bank chartered to issue large National Bank Notes. That certainly makes this the most meaningful National Bank Note from the Third Charter period ever offered. This charter carries the very rare Jones-Woods signatures that were only used by four banks in large size. This bank was also of the 21 in the country where the state is reduntantly repeated in the title because of improper paperwork. They look really cool.
