Albion was the home of three national banks and the earliest one remains unknown. This bank was chartered in 1885 and issued just 5,425 sheets of $10-10-10-20 Brown Backs before closing in 1905. This note, one of two known, was part of the Grinnell sale, Lot 1752 and was from the DeGood collection. This was also the bank that was involved with one of Michigan's most famous bank frauds.
