Hamtramck is a community, primarily Polish, entirely surrounded by the city of Detroit. The population, when this bank was chartered, was less than 5,000. The bank existed from 1917 to 1930 and issued only large size $5s, $10s and $20s before closing in 1930. There are four notes reported; two are Fine and two are VF. Clear signatures of W.J. Fox, President and C.A. Munn, Cashier. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
