A scarce example of the classic forbidden title. The Act of May 24 1926, forbade the use of the words "United States, " among others, in a bank's title. However this bank was chartered in 1933 with the title United States National Bank. One of only two banks in the nation chartered after 1926 that had "United States" in its title.
