When we consider the rarity of this #1 1950 $50, we must remember that back when this series was printed there was only one #1 note on this denomination from each district. The printings were small and multiple suffixes were not used. This had changed by the 1981 series when there were a few more printed. Definitely a desirable serial #1 note.
