Second Public Offering Ever
National Bank Notes > New Jersey
Somers Point, First NB, 12559
Fr. 1802-1 $20 1929T1
Grade:
VF/XF
A truly fabulous note that hails from the rarest town in one of the hottest collecting locales in the whole country: New Jersey's Atlantic County. Though this tiny bank opened in 1924, it circulated no large notes and issued just a minuscule amount of small notes before being closed by the receiver in 1933. Somers Point has remained for decades the "Holy Grail" for many New Jersey collectors as the last South Jersey shore town never offered at public sale. We are delighted to present an example that combines ultimate rarity with grade and eye-appeal. The long wait is finally over for the lucky collector who adds this prize to his collection.
