National Bank Notes > Pennsylvania
Parkesburg, NB, 2464
Fr. 434 $20 1875
Grade:
VF
The folds on this VF are well hidden and have little affect on the vignette on the back, leaving it complete and detailed. Prior to September 2007, no note on this bank had ever been offered at a public sale. In just a few months three pieces had sold. This is one of those notes. Parkesburg was named after the noted politician, John G. Parke. A family member, Edw. R. Parke, signed this $20 as president. Seven notes are known on this popular Chester County location, but only two are First Charters.
