Springfield had eight national banks over the years but this has always been my favorite title for this city. Only two banks in town issued Red Seals. This bank printed 7,450 sheets of $5, $10 and $20 Red Seals and only four have survived. This note is very attractive and the pen signatures of W.S. Thomas, President and Samuel F.
