The Atlanta district printed 34,000 notes and issued only 26,800. Of that total only nine have survived. This is the second of four consecutive notes which apparently appeared in the late 1970s. This type remains one of the greatest because of its condition and rarity. A broad margined Gem from the run of five pieces. It originally appeared through Dean Oakes in 1976. This jewel faces up as well as any imaginable, although I cannot see embossing. It is much better centered than #22726, from the Dave Rickey Collection which realized $74,750.
