As the major southern city they had 10 national banks, but only two issued Red Seals. This bank was chartered early but issued 12,200 sheets of $10-10-10-20 Red Seals along the way. This example is evenly circulated and quite nice with bold signatures of C.E. Currier, President and Geo. P. Donovan, Cashier. There are only four Red Seals known and are all $10s.
