I know that this note appeared somewhere a few years ago, but I never knew what happened until it appeared in the mail! Imagine my surprise! There were five national banks in the town of Everett over the years and until this appearance only two were known. Both banks were around less than 10 years, with about 4,000 sheets of Brownbacks issued. Snohomish County must have been a happening place at that time as three banks were chartered in 1892, and this one in 1901. This bank was liquidated barely seven years later. The signatures on the this note seem to be Chesney and Moody.
