A beautiful #1 Red Seal from the only national bank in Carter County community. This bank was chartered in 1902 and issued 1,465 sheets of $5-$5-$5-$5 and 1,134 sheets of $10-$10-$10-$20 Red Seals. The only known #1 Red Seal, or any Red Seal for that matter. There are also seven Blue Seals reported. This note is a lovely UNC with excellent pen signatures of Elmer Warner, President, and Ira W. Barnes, Cashier. It came from H. Jones in August, 2004.
