Of the five banks to issue nationals in Vicksburg, four printed Red Seals. This large bank was well-established by the time Red Seals were needed, so 8,500 sheets were requested. Attrition took its toll such that only three examples remain today. This is a particularly nice specimen, without blemishes and with good margins. Stamped signatures of B. W. Griffith, President, and J. M. Phillips, Cashier, are weakened but readable.
