Remarkable French numismatic reference made by the Bank of France in the 1970s completely in French beginning with the 5 Francs of 1870. Compendium with face and back of each type as separate loose-leaf pages except for the 5 Francs of 1870 and 1910; the two backs are on the same page because they resemble each other. Each piece is marked as a SPECIMEN; not watermarked. I have never seen anything like this. A wonderful literary work.
