Issued during the World War II German occupation. Seated woman/allegorical figures. A shortage of notes resulted in the quick overprinting of old Bank of France stock. Unusual white margin at right. According to WWII Remembered, "these notes circulated for only a short period and were withdrawn when Tunisia was liberated". PMG terms this "Ch. UNC 63".
