A very attractive recently rediscovered and never before available to collectors. Previously there were five large notes reported but this and another appeared concurrently and this example is likely the finest. The President Arthur signature is stamped purple and is enhanced by the bold black pen signature of the cashier J.C. Stewart. This pleasing original VF is no doubt the best currently recorded. There have been three all graded Fine realize $23,000 in 2006, $14,950 in 2007 and $15,275 in 2017.
