Hall Dep." below red and black text. VF condition with toning and ink bleed from handwriting on back. Rarity 8 with 1 to 3 extant, unknown number issued. Left imprint: Engraved by J. Archer, Richmond, Va.; Right imprint: Printed by Evans & Cogswell, Columbia, S.C. An actual agency of the treasury was to be established in Marshall, Texas on 7-1-64 based upon a 6-17-64 treasury notice. Peter W. Gray was the treasury agent of the Trans-Mississippi Department and was empowered to appoint depositaries. Rare.
