Made by the United States Bureau of Engraving and Printing. First denomination from this issuer; seal with standing woman with hammer and anvil, the design of the silver coinage which also began in 1903. Apparently, this seal was not considered appropriate, and a new design was approved on February 18, 1905. Jose Rizal type with William H. Taft signature as Civil Governor. Bottom left corner tip missing; margin tears at left. Excellent color. Sold as is; no returns.
