Faultless, winner The Gallant Fox Handicap hose race, May 15, 1948. Framed. 13 1/2" 19 1/2". The trainer for Faultless was Horace A Jones, son of Ben A Jones (1882-1961), a legendary horse trainer with Woolford Farms in Prairie Village, KS in the 1930s and then the head trainer with Calumet Farms in Lexington, KY in the 1940-1950s. He was the first trainer to ever win 6 Kentucky Derby Races (until 2020) and also had 2 Triple Crown Winners, Citation & Whirlaway. These photographs were purchased from the estate of Horace A Jones (1906-2001) who took over from his father as trainer at Calumet Farms.
