FIVE NOTES; nearly complete type set, missing only the 3 Rupees. DO NOT BE DECEIVED! This is the earlier and rarer 1897 series which closely resembles the available 1902. Embossed seal; signed by John Clunies-Ross on face with handwritten serial number at left and right. The first three notes with at least one corner cut cancelled. WBG terms these "Gem UNC 65 TOP"; "Ch. UNC 64"; "Ch. UNC 64"; Ch. UNC 64"; and "Gem UNC 65 TOP". We are delighted to offer this nearly complete 1897 set, each note in shockingly incredible condition.
