Sensational provisional type from the Chilean takeover of Tacna. Girl's heads ("Nina" and "Lola") with steam train between. With center denomination altered to 1 Peso, overprint TACNA 1.4.1886 CINCO QUINTOS BOLIVIANOS POR PESO O SU EQUIVALENTE EN MONEDA CORRIENTE, serial number, signatures. Small center slits; couple small pieces missing. Not illustrated in the Standard Catalog. Great rarity from the Red Ox Collection.
