DO NOT BE DECEIVED! This is the earlier and rarer 1897 which closely resembles the available 1902 type. Embossed seal; signed by John Clunies-Ross on face with handwritten serial number at left and right. Cut cancelled four corners. WBG terms this "Gem UNC 65 TOP". Possibly the best known. We are pleased to offer a nearly complete 1897 set, all but the 3 Rupees, each in shockingly incredible condition starting with this lot.
