There are only five large notes reported on the bank. The signature of R. Johnson, Vice President is penned while that of G.A. Sherman, Assistant Cashier is stamped. This note came from a 2004 Heritage auction at $805. Founded in 1853 and incorporated in 1859, Centralia was named for its location at the convergence of the two original sections of the Illinois Central Railroad.
